Sarabjit to be released soon

Asif Ali Zardari has ordered release of Indian Terrorist Sarabjit Singh a.k.a Manjit Singh accused of Lahore & Multan bombings that killed 14 people. Asif Ali Zardari as President of Pakistan has the power to pardon from Death penalty to Life Prison to anyone accused of even murder. Anti-terrorism court of Pakistan has already awarded Manjit (Sarabjit) death penalty in 1991, but due to uncertain reasons his hanging was repeatedly postponed till now until Zardari ordered his release. His death penalty was converted into life imprisonment, which is of 14 years and Sarabjit has already spend 22 years in Kot Lakpat Jail in Lahore.

Battlefield: Punjab Assembly Edition

The Punjab Assembly turned into a battlefield today when its members hurled chairs on each other while Speaker Rana Mohammed Iqbal suspended the membership of Sheikh Alla ud Din and Seemal Kamran.This is so depressing that this is we who supports and vote such representatives of Political Parties.

Gilani no longer PM of Pakistan

Supreme Court issues the verdict on National Assembly Speaker Ruling case, and declared Speaker's ruling null and void and declares Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani disqualified since 26 April 2012 and order Election Commission of Pakistan to issue the notice of his disqualification immediately.

Pakistan ranks 13 in Failed States

WASHINGTON: Pakistan has been ranked 13th in the latest ranking of failed states.The failed state ranking compiled by the famous Foreign Policy magazine is topped by Somalia with 114.9 points, followed by Congo, Sudan, Chad & Zimbabwe .Neighbouring Afghanistan  is ranked number 6, followed by Haiti, and few Arab countries like Yemen, Iraq and Central African Republic.Pakistan is ranked 13, with a better position compared with the last two years. In 2011 it was ranked 12th, while in 2010 and 2009 it was at 10th position. Robert D Kaplan, the chief geopolitical analyst at Stratfor said: "The country is run by civilian elite that steals all it can and pays almost no taxes, the absence of the state makes for 20-hour daily electricity blackouts and an almost nonexistent education system in many areas".

Anna Hazaray to Visit Pakistan, A hope ?

Hindustan Times reported that Anna Hazare has accepted the invitation to visit Pakistan by the Pakistani delegation. However Anna said: "Once I recover from the weakness and complete India yatra, I am going to visit Pakistan." The Pakistani delegation is expecting that Anna's visit could make a change in Pakistan's corrupted environment by motivating people to stand against Corruption, as Anna's Fight for Corruption influenced many people around the world. In the current environment of Pakistan, where many Pakistanis has lost their hopes, Anna's visit to Pakistan could bring some hope to them. However, future will tell us the affect of Anna's visit.
