PRESIDENTS OF PAKISTAN Iskander Mirza(1956-1958) 1. Iskander Mirza (23rd March, 1956 to 27th October 1958):  He is the Last Governer General of Pakistan and became the first President of Pakistan after the 1956 Constitution was implemented. Recent report by USAID (United Stated Agency for International Development) says that Pakistan has the potential of producing approximately 150,000MW of wind energy with just the investment of around two billion dollars. According to USAID official it is estimated, that Pakistan has the potential to generate 143,000MW through solar and wind energy. Investing to Wind Power Plants and Solar Panels will not just reduce electricity shortages but also will ease the burden of importing oil.  Research says that the fair category of wind speed in most parts of the world is between 6.2m/s and 6.9m/s. However, the wind speed in the Sindh corridor is stronger and stands in the category of 7.5m/s and 7.7m/s.  The goverment of Sindh has a plan to develop 2500MW of energy with this by 2015. The report further said that Pakistan has identified cumulative potential to generate 3.2 million MW from renewable energy resources which comprises of 340,000MW from wind, 2.9 millio

On Wednesday ANP leader Senator Haji Adeel, criticized Quaid-e-Azam, Pakistan Army and the judiciary during a ceremony held by HRCP He said criticized the Quaid-e-Azam for his decision to topple NWFP Government and declaring it as a wrong decision. Haji Sahab also lashed out at the Army & the judiciary saying that 90 percent of civil budget was being kept for army pensions. About the judiciary he said that Judiciary was submissive whenever the army took control of the country and became active against democratically elected governments(referring to Zardari led government). He was so negative during the speech that he forgot to mentioned the sacrifices rendered by the armed forces during war and also against the militants who had almost crushed the ANP in the province. Pakistan won the hockey match against Argentina by 2-0, bringing in the hope that Pakistan may be win in this Olympic 2012 Both Argentina and Pakistan were awarded 4 penalty corners each, of which Pakistan was able to score two goals from it. From Pakistan, M. Imran was the first goal scorer through a penalty corner in the first half of the match. More than 109 people killed in Karachi is last eighteen days and the death toll rises to above 1000 in 2012. Among them 52 are the policemen. The list also includes traders, factory owners & other businessmen with their family members. There is a sudden rise in violence observed in July and it looks like the law enforcement agencies are unable to protect at least the neutral citizens which includes businessmen, and other non political citizens. Asif Ali Zardari has ordered release of Indian Terrorist Sarabjit Singh a.k.a Manjit Singh accused of Lahore & Multan bombings that killed 14 people. Asif Ali Zardari as President of Pakistan has the power to pardon from Death penalty to Life Prison to anyone accused of even murder. Anti-terrorism court of Pakistan has already awarded Manjit (Sarabjit) death penalty in 1991, but due to uncertain reasons his hanging was repeatedly postponed till now until Zardari ordered his release. His death penalty was converted into life imprisonment, which is of 14 years and Sarabjit has already spend 22 years in Kot Lakpat Jail in Lahore.
