Pakistan has the potential to Produce 150,000MW through wind only

Recent report by USAID (United Stated Agency for International Development) says that Pakistan has the potential of producing approximately 150,000MW of wind energy with just the investment of around two billion dollars. According to USAID official it is estimated, that Pakistan has the potential to generate 143,000MW through solar and wind energy. Investing to Wind Power Plants and Solar Panels will not just reduce electricity shortages but also will ease the burden of importing oil.  Research says that the fair category of wind speed in most parts of the world is between 6.2m/s and 6.9m/s. However, the wind speed in the Sindh corridor is stronger and stands in the category of 7.5m/s and 7.7m/s.  The goverment of Sindh has a plan to develop 2500MW of energy with this by 2015. On Wednesday ANP leader Senator Haji Adeel, criticized Quaid-e-Azam, Pakistan Army and the judiciary during a ceremony held by HRCP He said criticized the Quaid-e-Azam for his decision to topple NWFP Government and declaring it as a wrong decision. Pakistan won over Argentina by 2-0

Pakistan won the hockey match against Argentina by 2-0, bringing in the hope that Pakistan may be win in this Olympic 2012 Both Argentina and Pakistan were awarded 4 penalty corners each, of which Pakistan was able to score two goals from it. From Pakistan, M. Imran was the first goal scorer through a penalty corner in the first half of the match. In the second half, Captain Sohail Abbas scored another goal again through a penalty corner letting the Pakistan to win the match by 2-0. Death of Muhammad Bin Qasim

Following the orders of Hajjaj Bin Yousuf, the Governer of Iraq & Caliph Al-Malik-ibn-abd-al-Malik in order to free Muslims Women & children of Ceylon, Muhammad Bin Qasim  at the age of 17 only,  conquered Sindh by defeating Raja Dahir, the ruler of Sindh at that time. Due to his extra ordinary capabilities, he further proceeded to southern part of Punjab. As he was underway in his goal to win hearts of the people of India in exposing them to Islam, Governer Iraq, Hujjaj Bin Yousuf died. The Caliph at that time, Suleyman bin Abdul-Malik who was not happy with Hujjaj Bin Yousuf on the political ground, so after his death Suleyman called off all those who are closer to Hujjaj Bin Yousuf including Muhammad Bin Qasim. On Qasim's return, he was put in jail and was tortured to death there

Karachi Violence claimed 109 lives this month so far

More than 109 people killed in Karachi is last eighteen days and the death toll rises to above 1000 in 2012. Among them 52 are the policemen. The list also includes traders, factory owners & other businessmen with their family members. There is a sudden rise in violence observed in July and it looks like the law enforcement agencies are unable to protect at least the neutral citizens which includes businessmen, and other non political citizens. Citizens of Karachi are helpless with just a hope of things getting better
